I was hooked on this never ending quest from the moment I read the account of Henry 
Ewell's house being burnt by the Indians in 1676.  I can't tell you the number of 
hours I've spent in the dusty basements of local libraries, searching for that 
certain  detail  that brings these names  to life; or  the hours on the computer 
finding a possible trail. What about the excitement of finding pictures of the whaling 
ships that Isaac Gorham Hedge sailed and owned. Finding a link to the Fairbanks Family 
of Dedham where I grew up. My biggest coup was  acquiring Sabra Cobb Ewell's Family 
Bible on ebay!! 

I've made some wonderful friends through this hobby, all are distant cousins  who 
share this common obsession.  I've also been reunited with old friends who stumbled 
upon this site searching  a family. 

There is nothing more rewarding than finding that "missing link". Maybe this site will 
be the source of yours.  Unfortunately many of my original source citations were 
erased during a merger of files.  I have been attempting to re-enter them but it is a 
daunting task.  If there is no source listed please contact me and I will look it up 
in my files.  Don't forget to check out the pictures in my Albums.  I hope to be
